Our Story
Broadie began as a church plant of Prospect Baptist Church first as a Sunday School in Broadview and then as Broadview Baptist Church in 1927, at its current location. Over the years, Broadie has experienced periods of both exciting growth and decline, with many ministries and social groups operating over the decades.
In 2017, due to declining numbers and an ageing congregation, Broadview Baptist Church took a significant step of faith, beginning a prayerful relationship with Rostrevor Baptist Church (RBC) to explore revitalisation. That same year, Broadview Baptist Church Inc was dissolved and adopted as a campus, with the facilities kept in trust and lovingly managed by RBC. The goal was its eventual release as a thriving, autonomous Baptist church, ministering to the inner north of Adelaide.
In 2019, Andrew and Rachael Foster and their family were called to Broadview to lead the community towards release. In the years since, our community, leadership, and ministry have grown, and Broadie was re-established as Broadview Baptist Church Inc at the beginning of 2025.
Since then, Broadie has continued to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, with the desire to increasingly become a church that leads people to Christ, disciples and develops leaders, and is deeply involved in Kingdom community transformation, both locally and overseas.
